Today’s topic is what is Rahmaan and Raheem.

Surah Fateha ayat 2 says, ”ArRahmaan ArRaheem”.

Rahmaan and Raheem are two names of Allah and are among those widely known.

Linguistically, the word Rahmaan has a very a wide and broad meaning.

Allah (swt) is Rahmaan today. His Mercy and gifts no bound. They are for Muslims and the disbelievers alike. He takes care of us, nurtures us, provides us sustenance regardless of our faith. The doors of forgiveness by Rahmaan are open and waiting for all of us whether we are Muslims or not.

But when the Day of Judgment comes, His Mercy will be for the believers only. Allah is the King of kings and He May forgive anyone that He pleases. Those are the exceptions that only Allah knows. Apart from that, His Mercy is known to extend to only the believers. Hence, on that day, Allah will be Raheem.

When Rahmaan and Raheem come together, like in the case of Surah Fateha, it signifies Allah’s limitless “rehm” and Mercy.

May Allah make us of those who repent and return back to Rahmaan so that Allah may come to us on the Day Of Judgment as Raheem.

May Allah give us the sound knowledge of deen and the wisdom to live this life according to His wishes.

( ۸ رمضان ) رمضان سیریز کے آٹھویں دن خوش آمدید۔

آج کا موضوع ہے کہ ‘رحمٰن ‘ اور ‘رحیم ‘ کیا ہے۔

سورہ الفاتحہ کی ۲ آیت میں ارشاد ہے: “الرّحمٰن ِالرّحیم”

رحمٰن اور رحیم خدا کے دو ایسے نام ہیں جس سے ہم اُس ذات کو بہتر پہچانتے ہیں۔

منطقی بنیادوں پر، رحمٰن کا لفظ اپنے اندر گہرائی اور وسیع معنی لیے ہوئے ہے۔

اللہ “رحمٰن “ہے۔ اُس کی عطا اور کرم کی کوئی حد نہیں۔ اپنے ماننے والوں اور غیر دونوں کے لیے برابر ہے۔ وہ ہماری حفاظت کرتا ہے، رزق مہیّا کرتا ہے چاہے کسی بھی عقیدے سے تعلق ہو۔ اُس رحمٰن ذات کے مغفرت کے دروازے سب کے لیے کھُلے ہیں چاہے کوئی مسلمان ہو یا نا ہو۔

لیکن جب قیامت کا دِن آئے گا، اُس کی شفاعت صرت اپنے ماننے والوں کے لیے ہو گی۔ خدا شاہوں کا شہنشاہ ہے اور جسے چاہے معاف کرنے کا حق رکھتا ہے۔ علاوہ ازیں ، اُس دن اُس کی شفاعت کے حقدار صرف اس کے ماننے والے ہوں گے اور اُس روز وہ “رحیم “ہوگا۔

جب رحمٰن اور رحیم ساتھ پکارے جائیں تو یہ خدا کی بے انتہا رحم اور شفقت کی صفت کو بیان کرتے ہیں۔

خدا ہمیں اتوبہ کرکے ُن لوگوں کی صف میں شامل کرے جن پر اُس “رحمٰن “کی نظر ہے تاکہ قیامت کے دِ ن ہم اُس “رحیم ” کی شفقت سے بہرہ ور ہوں۔

خدا ہمیں ہدایت کا راستہ دکھائے اور زندگی کو اُس پاک پروردگار کی خوشی کے مطابق بسر کرنے کی توفیق عطا کرے۔
