We are narrating the story of Hazrat Maryam (e.s.) as told in Surah Aal-Imran and of Hazrat Isaa (e.s.) as told in Surah Nisaa. This is Part 7 (the last part of this story).

Disclaimer: We will only talk about what Quran tells us, and the scope is Surah Aal-imran and Surah Nisaa. There are multiple places where this story is mentioned, yet we will stick to these particular Surah.

We are continuing from part 6 of The Story Of Maryam.

Over time, the powerful story of Hazrat Isaa (e.s.) became distorted. This is the concluding part of The Story Of Maryam.

One of the biggest controversies in this story is what eventually became of Isaa ibn e Maryam? Was he raised alive? Was he crucified? Was he raised before the said crucifixion? Was he raised after the crucifixion? No one knows for certain. This is because Allah says in the Quran,

“And [for] their saying, “Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Isaa, the son of Maryam, the messenger of Allah.” And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain.” (Surah Nisa, ayat 157)

Many have argued and created sects over what happened to Isaa (e.s.), yet Allah puts a veil on the truth and declared in the Quran that they don’t know what happened to him. But in the end, Allah also confirms that surely they have not killed him! Subhan’Allah.

Towards the end of Surah Nisaa, Allah addresses the “ehl e kitaab”;

“O People of the Book, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Isaa, the son of Maryam, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Maryam and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, “Three”; desist – it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.” (Surah Nisaa, ayat 171)

Allah tells the people of the book to not commit excess in their religion; this points to the fact that in love and devotion, Isaa ibn e Maryam (e.s.) was made more than a messenger of Allah. Love and devotion, when left unbridled can easily take us on the path of shirk. So it is very important to keep a check on these feelings even when we know they stem from the sincerest place in our hearts.

Umar ibn al-Khattab reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Do not exaggerate my praises as the Christians have done with the son of Maryam. Verily, I am only a servant, so refer to me as the servant of Allah and his messenger.” (Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 3261)

In Surah Kahf, Allah directs Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h.) to clarify people that he is only a man;

“Say (O Muhammad): I am only a man like you. It has been revealed to me that your Ilaah (God) is One Ilaah (God i.e. Allah).” (al-Kahf 18:110)

The miracles gifted to Isaa (e.s.) were remarkable and put many in wonder and awe, and still do to this day. These miracles were performed only by the Will of Allah, had He not willed them to occur, they could never come to be. Allah explicitly states this in the Quran, saying that they were:

“…by the permission of God” (Quran 3:49; 5:10)

Allah’s divine system is of absolute justice. He promises to never burden a soul beyond what it can bear. Similarly, no one pays the price for anyone’s else sin and no one can reap benefits from the good deeds of another, (except a good deed that is a sadqae jaria or intended for eesaal e sawaab of another).

Allah says in the Quran,

“On the day that every soul shall find present what it has done of good and what it has done of evil, it shall wish that between it and that (evil) there were a long duration of time…” (Surah Al-Imraan, ayat 30)

No one shall enter paradise except on the basis of taqwa. Belonging to a particular sect or creed gives no unconditional free-access to Jannah, no matter if it is a Muslim or from any other religion. The trials of this world are a test and we use them to find success in the next. Allah says in the Quran,

“And they say: None shall enter the garden (or paradise) except he who is a Jew or a Christian. These are their vain desires. Say: Bring your proof if you are truthful.” (Surah Baqarah, ayat 111)

I invite you all to study the life of Isaa Ibn e Maryam (e.s.) in the light of Quran and teach it to your children. The time of Dajjal is very near and the best protection you can give your children, and hopefully they will give to their children, is knowledge.

In times when our emaan is at stake, when we are surrounded by propaganda and controversy, please learn the Quran. It will open your eyes to what is true and what is false and deceit.

One of the reasons why Allah narrates the story of Maryam and Isaa with such detail in the Quran is because Isaa (e.s.) is yet to come and we have to receive him. The people of emaan and knowledge will recognize him, and he will lead Islam to its glory.

Isaa ibn e Maryam (e.s.) was a servant and messenger of Allah. He invited people to Allah, and never himself claimed to be god. He was submissive to Him. As promised by Allah, he was glorified in this world and in the next, and he is one of the closest to Allah.

Please, mothers, protect your children and tell them right from wrong in the light of Quran.

May Allah guide us and give us the wisdom to understand what Quran shows us. May Allah protect us, our children and our children’s children from shytaan, the cursed.

Ameen ya Rabb ul aalameen.

رمضان سیریز کے پندر ھویں دن خوش آمدید.

ہم حضرت مریم کی کہانی کا ذکر کررہے ہیں کہ جسے سورہ آل عمران میں بیان کیا گیا ہے. یہ کہانی کا دوسرا حصہ ہے.

انتباہ: ہم صرف قرآن میں موجود بیان پر بات کریں گے، خاص طور پر سورہ آل عمران سے منسوب. گو کہ مریمؑ کا تذکرہ متعدد جگہ کیا گیا ہے، مگر ہم اس مخصوص سورہ کے حوالے سے بیان کریں گے.

ہم پانچویں حصّے سے کہانی کو جوڑیں گے۔

وقت کے ساتھ عیسیٰؑ کی کہانی کو کافی توڑا مڑوڑا گیا۔ یہ مریمؑ کی کہانی کا آخری حصّہ ہے۔

اس کہانی کا سب سے متنازع پہلو یہ ہے کہ عیسیٰ ابنِ مریم کے ساتھ کیا ہوا؟ کیا انہیں زندہ اُٹھا لیا گیا؟ یا صلیب پر لٹکایا گیا؟کیا انہیں مصلوب کرنے کے عمل سے پہلے ہی اُٹھا لیا گیا تھا؟ یا اس کے بعد؟ کوئی ٹھیک سے نہیں جانتا۔ کیونکہ اللہ قرآن میں فرماتا ہے:

ور یہ کہنے کے سبب کہ ہم نے مریم کے بیٹے عیسیٰ مسیح کو جو خدا کے پیغمبر (کہلاتے) تھے قتل کردیا ہے (خدا نے ان کو معلون کردیا) اور انہوں نے عیسیٰ کو قتل نہیں کیا اور نہ انہیں سولی پر چڑھایا بلکہ ان کو ان کی سی صورت معلوم ہوئی اور جو لوگ ان کے بارے میں اختلاف کرتے ہیں وہ ان کے حال سے شک میں پڑے ہوئے ہیں اور پیروئی ظن کے سوا ان کو اس کا مطلق علم نہیں۔ اور انہوں نے عیسیٰ کو یقیناً قتل نہیں کیا ﴿۱۵۷﴾

حضرت عیسیٰ کے ساتھ کیا ہوا اس کی بناء پر کافی لوگوں نے بحث کی اور اپنا مذہب تخلیق کر لیا، گو کہ خدا نے اس حقیقت پر پردہ رکھا ہے اور قرآن میں ارشاد کیا ہے کہ وہ لوگ کچھ نہیں جانتے۔ لیکن آخر میں یہ بھی فرمایا ہے کہ یقینا! وہ لوگ عیسیٰؑ کو مارنے میں ناکام رہے ‘ سبحان اللہ۔’

سورہ النساء کے اختتام پر خدا اہلِ کتاب سے کلام کرے ہوئے فرماتا ہے کہ:

اے اہل کتاب اپنے دین (کی بات) میں حد سے نہ بڑھو اور خدا کے بارے میں حق کے سوا کچھ نہ کہو۔ مسیح (یعنی) مریم کے بیٹے عیسیٰ (نہ خدا تھے نہ خدا کے بیٹے بلکہ) خدا کے رسول اور کا کلمہٴ (بشارت) تھے جو اس نے مریم کی طرف بھیجا تھا اور اس کی طرف سے ایک روح تھے تو خدا اوراس کے رسولوں پر ایمان لاؤ۔ اور (یہ) نہ کہو (کہ خدا) تین (ہیں۔ اس اعتقاد سے) باز آؤ کہ یہ تمہارے حق میں بہتر ہے۔ خدا ہی معبود واحد ہے اور اس سے پاک ہے کہ اس کے اولاد ہو۔ جو کچھ آسمانوں میں اور جو کچھ زمین میں ہے سب اسی کا ہے۔ اور خدا ہی کارساز کافی ہے ﴿۱۷۱﴾

خدا اپنی کتب میں لوگوں کو تنبیہ کرتا ہے کہ مذہب میں حد سے تجاوز نا کرو۔ عیسیٰ ؑ کو لوگوں نے محبت اور عقیدت میں نبی سے زیادہ مان لیا۔ بے لگام عقائد ہمیں باآسانی شرک کے راستے پر لے جا سکتے ہیں۔ اس لیے ضروری ہے کہ ہم اپنے احساسات کا احاطہ کرتے رہیں چاہے وہ کسی کے لیے کتنا ہی پُر خلوص جذبہ کیوں نا ہو۔

سورہ الکہف میں خدا نبیﷺ سے فرماتا ہے:

کہہ دو کہ میں تمہاری طرح کا ایک بشر ہوں۔ (البتہ) میری طرف وحی آتی ہے کہ تمہارا معبود (وہی) ایک معبود ہے۔ تو جو شخص اپنے پروردگار سے ملنے کی امید رکھے چاہیئے کہ عمل نیک کرے اور اپنے پروردگار کی عبادت میں کسی کو شریک نہ بنائے ﴿۱۱۰﴾

عیسیٰؑ کو عطا کیے گئے معجزے لاجواب تھے اور لوگوں کو حیرت میں مبتلا کر دیتے تھے، اور آج بھی کرتے ہیں۔ یہ معجزے صرف اللہ کی رضا سے ہوتے تھے۔ اُس کی رضا نا ہوتی تو کبھی نا ہوتے۔ اللہ اس بات کو قرآن میں واضح طور پر بیان کرتا ہے کہ:

“۔۔۔تو وہ خدا کے حکم سے ” (آلِ عمران آیت نمبر ۴۹)

خدا کا نظام عدل پر واقع ہے۔ وہ وعدہ کرتا ہے کہ کسی جان پر اُس کی برداشت سے زیادہ بوجھ نہیں ڈالے گا۔ اسی طرح کوئی کسی کے گناہوں کا بوجھ نہیں اُٹھائے گا اور نا کوئی کسی کی نیکیوں سے استفادہ کرسکے گا ( گو کہ کوئی ایسا عمل جو صدقہ جاریہ ہو اور دوسرے کے ایصالِ ثواب کے لیے انجام دیا گیا ہو)۔

اللہ قرآن میں فرماتا ہے:

جس دن ہر شخص اپنے اعمال کی نیکی کو موجود پالے گا اور ان کی برائی کو بھی (دیکھ لے گا) تو آرزو کرے گا کہ اے کاش اس میں اور اس برائی میں دور کی مسافت ہو جاتی اور خدا تم کو اپنے (غضب) سے ڈراتا ہے اور خدا اپنے بندوں پر نہایت مہربان ہے ﴿۳۰﴾ سورہ آلِ عمران

محض تقویٰ کی بنیاد پر ہی جنت میں داخل ہوا جاسکے گا۔ کسی مخصوص فرقہ یا مذہب سے تعلق کی بنیاد پر جنت واجب نہیں ہوتی خواہ مسلمان ہو یا غیر مسلم۔ اس دنیا کی زندگی امتحان ہے جو آخرت کی زندگی کا فیصلہ کرے گی۔ اللہ قرآن میں فرماتا ہے:

اور (یہودی اور عیسائی) کہتے ہیں کہ یہودیوں اور عیسائیوں کے سوا کوئی بہشت میں نہیں جانے کا۔ یہ ان لوگوں کے خیالاتِ باطل ہیں۔ (اے پیغمبر ان سے) کہہ دو کہ اگر سچے ہو تو دلیل پیش کرو ﴿۱۱۱﴾ سورہ البقرہ

میں آپ سب کو دعوت دیتی ہوں کہ عیسیٰؑ کی زندگی کا مطالعہ کریں قرآن کی روشنی میں اور اپنے بچوں کو بھی تعلیم دیں۔ دجال کا وقت قریب ہے اور ایسے میں بہترین تحفظ جو آپ انہین دے سکتے ہیں وہ علم ہے۔

وہ وقت آپ کا ایمان داؤ پر لگا ہو، متنازع اور بدعتی لوگوں سے گھرے ہوں ۔۔ خدا کے لیے قرآن سے رہنمائی لیں۔ یہ آپ کو بتائے گا کہ سچ کیا ہے اور جھوٹ کیا اور دھوکہ کیا ہے۔

خدا کا اس کہانی کا ذکر کرنے کا ایک مقصد یہ ہے کی عیسیٰؑ کو ایک دن آنا ہے اور ہم ان کا خیر مقدم کریں گے۔ ایمان والے لوگ انہیں پہچان لیں گے۔

عیسیٰ ابنِ مریمؑ خدا کے پیغمبر تھے۔ انہوں نے لوگوں کو خدا کی طرف دعوت دی، اور خود کبھی خدائی کا دعوہ نہیں کیا۔ وہ اس کے حضور جھکے رہے۔ اور وعدے کے مطابق خدا نے انہیں او دینا اور آخرت دونوں میں بلند درجے پر فائض کیا اور اپنے قریب ترین لوگوں میں شامل کیا۔

والدین اپنے بچوں کی حفاظت کرین اور قرآن کی روشنی میں صحیح اور غلط کا فرق بتائیں۔

خدا ہمیں قرآنی تعلیمات کو سمجھنے کی توفیق عطا کرے۔ خدا ہمیں ہماری اولاد اور اُن کی اولاد کی حفاظت کرے اور شیطان کے شر سے بچائے۔

آمین یا ربّ اللعالمین۔

آپ کا بے حد شکریہ مریمؑ کی اس کہانی کے سفر میں میرے ساتھ رہنے کا اور حوصلہ افزائی کرنے کا۔
